It is with great happiness that we announce that two of our current team members, Marcos Paiva and Malcolm Powell, as well as our inventors team, have been awarded with The 2021 Coalition for Eco Efficient Comminution (CEEC) Medal.
The CEEC Medal recognises outstanding published research and field work that contributes to making mineral processing more eco-efficient. The winning paper on Technical Research is titled The Double Wheel Breakage Test, published in Minerals Engineering, Volume 168, July 2021, and shares the development of a prototype breakage testing device, Geopyörä, and shows breakage calibration results that indicate its potential to improve geometallurgical ore testing.
As said by CEEC Director Greg Lane the paper proposes a “genuinely better way to do something we already do”.
